PSC To Hold Local Public Hearing In Perryville

In S.K. & M. Water And Sewer Company Rate Cases

                JEFFERSON CITY—The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold a local public hearing in Perryville, Missouri on January 17, 2019, in water and sewer rate cases filed by S.K. & M. Water and Sewer Company (SK&M).  The local public hearing schedule appears below.

January 17—Perryville.  American Legion-Colonnade Room, 98 Grand Avenue.  A PSC Staff public information/question and answer session starts at 6:00 p.m. with the Commission receiving testimony from the public following the question and answer session.

On November 27, 2018, SK&M filed rate requests with the Public Service Commission seeking to increase annual water operating revenues by approximately $200,000 and annual sewer operating revenues by approximately $100,000.  SK&M proposes to increase the monthly water rate for a residential customer using 4,000 gallons a month from the current rate of $29.10 a month to $42.12 a month.  Under the rate case filing, the monthly minimum sewer charge for a single family home would go from the current rate of $34.60 a month to $81.33 a month.

SK&M provides service to approximately 300 water customers and 156 sewer customers in Perry County near Perryville, Missouri.
