Board Member and President of Castor Township charged with class D felony

On August 6, 2018, Russ Oliver, the Stoddard County Prosecuting Attorney charged Randall McCollom, elected Board Member and President of Castor Township, with 2 Counts of the Class D Felony of Stealing by Deception and 1 Count of Commission of Acts Prohibited by Elected Officials (Sect 105.458 RSMo.).
Mr. McCollom is alleged to have wrongfully obtained ownership of two (2) dump trucks, a 1994 International and a 1993 International, that were the property of Castor Township through deception. The details of the allegations are contained in the attached probable cause affidavit.
Mr. McCollom is also charged with personally providing services to the township via providing dump truck hauling services to the township in excess of the statutorily authorized limits without putting the services out for public bid. The details of these allegations are also contained in the attached probable cause affidavit.
Mr. McCollom has voluntarily resigned his position as Board Member and President of Castor Township.
